The Municipality of Guimarães announces that registrations are open for the training 'Sabores da Região – Pequenos Pratos de Cozinha Tradicional'. The course will be held on October 12, 20, 27, 28, and 29, 2026, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, at Paraíso 19.95 Villas & SPA.
This initiative continues the work of identifying training needs with local partners, aiming to strengthen skills in the culinary field and promote regional gastronomy.
With a strong practical component, the 15-hour training will be led by Armindo Guise. Participants will explore local and seasonal products, apply traditional cooking techniques, and create small dishes, snacks, and tasting proposals. The adaptation of traditional recipes to contemporary formats, dish presentation, and food waste reduction will also be addressed.
The initiative is aimed at kitchen professionals and other interested individuals, intending to contribute to the qualification of the gastronomic offer and enhance regional flavors as a distinctive element of the tourist experience.
Participation is free. Obtaining the certificate, issued by the Academia Digital, requires a minimum attendance of 90% of the course, active participation, and completion of the proposed activities.
