The city of Lamego is undergoing an intervention focused on the preservation and enhancement of the tunnel within the Escadório de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios. The project, budgeted at 24,230 euros plus VAT, aims to ensure the protection of this architecturally and patrimonially important element for the city.
This conservation effort is crucial for shielding the structure from natural wear and tear over time. Concurrently, the intervention seeks to improve the aesthetic integration of one of the most emblematic and frequented locations by visitors and residents of Lamego.
Current works include the cleaning and painting of the tunnel's walls and ceiling. They also encompass plaster repair on the walls, involving proper surface preparation and the application of leveling mortar.
