The Ansião Municipal Auditorium hosted, on the evening of October 28th, an awareness session on breast cancer, as part of the international 'Pink October' campaign.

The initiative, themed “Let's clarify. Let's prevent. Let's care.”, featured the participation of volunteers and representatives from local associations. The Councilor for Health, Maria Goreti Correia, highlighted that the session focused on screening, prevention, and self-care, with speakers who are health professionals from the municipality, including a doctor, nurses, and a psychologist.
The councilor emphasized the importance of sharing personal experiences by the speakers, which, according to Maria Goreti Correia, "enriched this moment and marked the entire audience". The session aimed to empower participants to be "promoters of health literacy", increasing knowledge about the disease for better personal health management and that of loved ones.
Maria Goreti Correia added that the Municipality of Ansião intends to continue investing in such actions, reinforcing its role as a "promoter of health literacy" and in the "dissemination of knowledge for better health management".
