In observance of World Mental Health Day, the Municipality of Gouveia, via the CLDS 5G project, organized three awareness sessions for 10th-grade students at the Agrupamento de Escolas de Gouveia. This initiative, part of Axis 2 of the project executed by the Casa do Povo de Vila Nova de Tazem, focused on the theme «Performance Anxiety».
The primary objective of these sessions was to alert young people to the impact of anxiety on mental health. They also aimed to provide moments for reflection on the pressure inherent in academic performance and to emphasize the importance of developing strategies that foster emotional balance and psychological well-being.
The sessions were led by psychologist Dra. Tatiana Louro. During her presentations, the psychologist discussed the significance of recognizing and understanding emotions, identifying anxiety triggers, and acquiring practical tools to cope more healthily with the challenges and demands of daily school life.
Through this initiative, the Municipality of Gouveia, via the CLDS 5G project, reaffirms its commitment to promoting the mental health and well-being of young people, prioritizing prevention and psychological health literacy.
