The initiative is part of the “Digital Transformation – E-Gov Municipal” application, a project co-financed by the NORTE 2030 Regional Program, aimed at boosting administrative modernization and the municipality's digital transition. The central purpose is the development of an innovative service and communication platform, linked to a directory of intelligent services for citizens and businesses.
The new municipal portal incorporates artificial intelligence tools that enable interaction based on simple and accessible language. This technology allows users to find information with increased ease and accuracy, simplifying interactive processes and reducing bureaucracy in contact with Local Administration.
In parallel, the intervention included a thorough reformulation of the entire municipal infrastructure for computing, data storage, backup, and cybersecurity. This investment ensures business continuity, system redundancy and availability, response and recovery capabilities for incidents, as well as rigorous protection of personal data.
