The National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP) presented the Observatory of Local Power (OPL), a new technological tool, on the morning of Thursday, the 15th, in Lamego.

The Observatory of Local Power (OPL) was conceived as an instrument for the service of municipalities and the general public, capable of centralizing currently dispersed information and organizing it according to monitoring needs and municipal competencies. The training session took place in the Noble Hall of the Lamego Town Hall.
President Francisco Lopes welcomed the attendees and highlighted the potential of this technological tool. The OPL mobilizes around 250 indicators, allowing for the development of a work process oriented towards the production of new relevant information for monitoring the competencies of Portuguese municipalities. The observatory presents informational density and strategic relevance, with an ambition for continuous growth.
The Municipality of Lamego integrates this new public platform of the ANMP, which gathers data from the 308 Portuguese municipalities. The project is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, within the scope of Smart Territories.
