The cultural initiative “Ouvir das Boas” premiered on Friday night at the Ponte da Barca Municipal Library, with a session dedicated to exploring the music, stories, and memories of the 1960s and 1970s.
Local musicians Teófilo Pimentel Cerqueira and Áurea Gomes were the guests for this inaugural session. They shared their musical references and the influence of artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Nina Simone, and Chico Buarque on their personal and artistic journeys, highlighting the poetic dimension of their works.
The conversation touched upon how these artists shaped the guests' musical identity, influenced the songs they perform today, and contributed to their personality and worldview.
“Ouvir das Boas” aims to establish itself as a space for sharing and discovery, where a community member presents a special record due to its personal significance or historical relevance in music, leading to an informal conversation open to different perspectives.
The next session is scheduled for December, with a date to be announced soon.
