The support, with an initial duration of 12 months and renewable up to a maximum of 36 months, is intended for residents and registered voters in the municipality for at least two years, aged 18 or over. Access conditions include a monthly per capita income below 60% of the Social Support Index (322.28 €), possession of a valid and adequate rental agreement, no other properties in the household's name, and the landlord not being a close relative. Beneficiaries of other rental support programs, such as Porta 65, are not eligible.
The contribution amount is divided into three tiers (20%, 30%, and 50% of the rent value), not exceeding 50% of the total monthly amount. The calculation considers the maximum ceiling set by the Porta 65 program if the rent exceeds these limits per typology.
The application period runs from November 2 to 20, 2026. Submissions can be made online through the council's portal (www.cm-viladoconde.pt) or in person at the Balcão Único of the Vila do Conde Municipal Council (Paços do Concelho), from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:30.
Necessary documentation includes the Citizen Card of all household members, proof of residence and voter registration, declaration of no property ownership, proof of monthly income and fixed expenses, certificates of no debt to Social Security and the Tax Authority, rental agreement or promise, and a declaration of honor. The Proof of Residence and Voter Registration can be obtained at the Vilar do Pinheiro Parish Council.
