The Municipality of Santa Cruz signed Cultural Promotion support agreements with the five Parish Councils of the county, representing a global investment of 227,523 euros, aimed at supporting cultural initiatives and revitalizing the parishes.

The signing of the protocols was attended by the President of the Municipal Council of Santa Cruz, Élia Ascensão, and Councillor Dídia Antunes. This support aims to recognize the fundamental role of the Parish Councils in promoting culture and revitalizing local communities, considering their financial limitations and growing challenges.
Through Cultural Promotion, the Municipality intends to contribute to the realization of cultural activities and initiatives, strengthening the cultural offering throughout the county and valuing the work developed by the parishes. This measure also promotes territorial cohesion and cooperation between local authorities.
With this investment, the Municipality of Santa Cruz reaffirms its commitment to cultural decentralization, the valorization of parishes, and access to culture throughout the municipal territory, enabling local communities to preserve their traditions and boost the local economy.
