The Associação Desportiva Galomar launches the Feminino 360º project, approved by the Portuguese Olympic Committee, to encourage female participation in sports, bringing various modalities to schools in Santa Cruz.

The Feminino 360º project, promoted by the Associação Desportiva Galomar and approved by the Portuguese Olympic Committee, aims to increase female participation in sports. The initiative will run from October to June, introducing different sports through the "Sport of the Month" program, including Basketball, Table Tennis, Breaking, Judo, Swimming, Padel, Squash, Trail Running, Triathlon, and Modern Pentathlon.
The activities, held in schools, are open to both girls and boys. Female participants will also have the opportunity to try out sports at the club, experiencing the training sessions and the dynamics of the Associação Desportiva Galomar. Each girl will receive a sports passport to be filled with stickers for each modality experienced. Participation is free, and girls who wish to continue practicing a sport at the club will have their registration and affiliation fees waived.
The Associação Desportiva Galomar has already contacted schools in the municipality of Santa Cruz and is available to bring the project to other interested schools. Schools wishing to participate or learn more about the project can contact coordenacao.adgalomar@gmail.com.
The Feminino 360º project will conclude with a Final Celebration integrated into the Cristo Rei Trail on June 26, 2027. This event will also mark the 100th anniversary of Cristo Rei da Madeira.
