The Instituto Superior Técnico welcomed approximately one hundred students who enrolled through the 2nd Phase of the National Competition for Access to Higher Education (CNAES), with an orientation session held on October 2nd.

Guides from the Student Support Unit (NAPE) welcomed the new students, distributed their student kits, and assigned mentors who will accompany them in their first steps at the institution. The orientation session aimed to reassure students, especially those who joined later in the higher education access process.
Students like Reva Garg, who enrolled in the Degree in Aerospace Engineering, expressed enthusiasm. "Técnico is one of the most prestigious institutes in Portugal," stated Garg, who has dreamed of this field since she was 12 and hopes to gain knowledge and form professional connections.
Pedro Roldão, a student in the Degree in Chemical Engineering, appeared confident about his future at the school, despite initial concerns about adaptation due to the time lag. "I wasn't expecting a [welcome] session," he confessed, highlighting the importance of support for 2nd phase students.
Adriana Braga, from Almada and now a student in the Degree in Biological Engineering, shared her happiness at getting into her first choice. Her decision was aided by accounts from peers and Técnico's reputation for opening professional doors through seminars and other activities.
