INIAV presented the DxHub project at the European Researchers’ Night 2026 in three locations across Portugal, showcasing innovative rapid diagnostic technologies.

The National Institute for Agrarian and Veterinary Research (INIAV) participated in the European Researchers’ Night 2026, an event designed to bring science closer to society. The initiative took place in three different locations across Portugal, where innovations from the DxHub project were presented, focusing on rapid diagnostic technologies for crucial areas such as food safety, animal health, and plant health.
In Vila do Conde, a device developed by project partner BioPix-T was showcased. This equipment is for the validation of a rapid test for Salmonella detection in milk, representing a significant advancement for food safety.
In the capital, Lisbon (Parque das Nações), the Doctor Vida device, created by partner STAB VIDA, was the focus. This device enables the early detection of viral diseases in animals, reinforcing the One Health approach.
In Oeiras, the presentation concentrated on the early detection of plant diseases, an aspect vital for agriculture and the protection of plant heritage.
These activities highlighted DxHub's contribution to the development of rapid and accessible diagnostics, promoting scientific innovation and bringing it closer to the general public.
