The award aims to distinguish young researchers from CEG for the merit of their scientific activity, recognizing excellent work published in scientific journals indexed in the Web of Science.
The award ceremony took place on September 23rd, at 2:30 PM, in the Jorge Gaspar Conference Room at IGOT. The event included presentations of the distinguished articles.
The awarded articles were: 'Large language models overcome the challenges of unstructured text data in ecology', by Castro, A., Pinto, J., Reino, L., Pipek, P., & Capinha, C. (2024), published in Ecological Informatics; and '“We are the forerunners in Southern Europe”: experimenting with Business Improvement Districts in greater Barcelona', by Silva, D. G., Frago, L., & Ward, K. (2024), published in Urban Geography.
