The Forte do Paço, in Arruda dos Vinhos, hosted the final guided tour of the Torres Lines Circuit on October 24th, marking the National Day of the Torres Lines.

The initiative, part of the National Day of the Torres Lines program, culminated with a visit to Forte do Paço (military work n.º 12), a strategic point of the first defensive line.
The walking route to the fort allowed participants to connect with the surrounding landscape, while the visit provided an opportunity to closely examine this military structure.
The site's history, however, extends beyond its military value. Archaeological remains reveal a long diachrony of human occupation, from the Chalcolithic period, through the Iron Age and the Roman era, up to the 19th century, attesting to the richness of Arruda dos Vinhos' historical and archaeological heritage and its relationship with the landscape.
