The Conta-me à 5ª project, promoted by the Municipal Library of Ansião, kicked off this October with several sessions targeting the senior community. The initial events took place at locations such as the Casa da Várzea (Santiago da Guarda) on October 15th, the Fundação D. Fernanda Marques (Chão de Couce) on the 22nd, and the Fundação de Nossa Senhora da Guia (Avelar) on the afternoon of October 29th. Additionally, on October 28th, seniors from the Nós e A (Vós) project at the Escola Tecnológica e Profissional de Sicó visited the library to participate in the activity.
During the sessions, topics like acorns and galls, as well as objects related to homemade sausage production, served as starting points for moments of reading, music, and conversation. These activities, held in a cheerful atmosphere, contribute to active aging and encourage regular visits to the Municipal Library of Ansião, whether to borrow books, read newspapers, or explore the Políbio Gomes dos Santos thematic room.
For November, four more Conta-me à 5ª sessions are scheduled. The upcoming events will take place on the 5th, at the Residência Sénior do Nabão (Ansião); on the 12th, at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia (SCM) of Alvorge; on the 19th, at the SCM of Ansião; and on the 26th, at the Centro Social e Paroquial de São Tiago da Guarda.
