The repair work on the EN253 road, between Alcácer do Sal and Santa Susana, is currently in progress. This project comes after persistent demands from the local populations, supported by the Municipality of Alcácer do Sal and the Parish Council of Santa Susana.
Currently, the work is focused on the section between the junction for Barrosinha and the access to Santa Catarina de Sítimos. The project includes traffic management with alternating circulation using traffic lights, and drivers are asked to exercise caution.
This corrective pavement maintenance project, carried out by Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), is part of a first phase (lot 1) that began on October 26th. A further intervention by IP to Santa Susana and within the locality itself is planned for the near future.
