The initiative, part of the Month of the Elderly Person and promoted by the Municipality of Gouveia through the InteGrar Project – CLDS-5, featured Dr. Isabel Amaral, a physiotherapist from the Gouveia Health Center – ULS da Guarda. The specialist presented practical strategies for fall prevention, aiming for the safety, autonomy, and quality of life of seniors.
Professor Marco Gonçalves, Sports Technician for the Municipality of Gouveia, addressed the importance of physical activity in reducing fall risk, presenting scientific evidence on the contribution of exercise to maintaining strength, balance, mobility, and autonomy.
