The Bienal de Arte Contemporânea das Terras de Trás os Montes was inaugurated in Miranda do Douro on Thursday afternoon, October 8th, promoted by CIM-TTM.

The initiative, which unites 9 municipalities under the concept "Linha da Terra" (Earth Line), focuses on decentralization and ensuring everyone has access to contemporary art. In Miranda do Douro, under the artistic direction of Inês Falcão and curatorship by Domingos Loureiro, visitors can explore two major exhibitions until December 31st.
The exhibition TERRA QUE FALA / TIERRA QUE HABLA is located at the Municipal Library Padre António Mourinho and features artists Alba Cortes, Álvaro Domingues, Balbina Mendes, José Maria Lillo, José Naranjo Ferrari, Luís Fortunado Lima, Maria Cruz, Maria Regina Ramos, and Teresa Almeida.
The second exhibition, TERRA QUE FALA: ANAMNESE, is held at the Antiga Cadeia de Miranda do Douro (Old Jail of Miranda do Douro) and showcases the artist João Paulo Meirinhos.
In addition to the exhibitions, the Bienal's program includes educational activities, guided tours, talks, and workshops for the entire community.
