From November 1st, the carrying out of burning of debris piles of agricultural and forest residues in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães will be subject to mere prior notification.

The Municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães informs that, from November 1st, the carrying out of burning of debris piles of agricultural and forest residues will be subject to mere prior notification, instead of municipal authorization, provided that legal conditions requiring authorization or prohibiting the activity are not met.
Prior notification can be made through the platform of the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), available at: Platform Queimas e Queimadas.
For support, the following lines are available: Support line: 808 200 520; Alternative contact: 211 389 320; Municipal Council: 278 610 200.
Prior notification does not exempt compliance with safety rules. On days of 'very high' or 'maximum' rural fire risk, burning of debris piles is subject to municipal authorization, and other legal restrictions may still apply.
The municipality urges the public to "Burn safely and protect people, property, and the forest!" and reiterates the importance of always confirming the safety conditions and current rules for the intended day before carrying out any burning.
