CIM Cávado, in partnership with the six municipalities in the region, presented the 2nd edition of the Municipal Seal for Diversity, Equality, and Conciliation to six organizations.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the municipalities of Vila Verde, Terras de Bouro, Esposende, Amares, Barcelos, and Braga, who recognized the entities for their practices in equal opportunities, diversity, inclusion, discrimination prevention, and work-life balance.
The awarded organizations were Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Amares, APAC – Associação de Pais e Amigos de Crianças (Barcelos), Bosch Car Multimédia Portugal, S.A. (Braga), Zendensino – Escola Profissional de Esposende, Sodibouro Supermercados, Lda. (Terras de Bouro), and Centro Social do Vale do Homem (Vila Verde).
The Municipal Seal aims to recognize and value organizations that integrate these principles into their policies, promoting inclusive and socially responsible work environments. Practices developed in the last three years were considered, including flexibility measures, well-being, diversity appreciation, and discrimination prevention.
The event featured interventions by Eng. Carlos Silva, Executive Secretary of CIM Cávado, and Dr. Rosa Oliveira from the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG), on the theme «Equality, diversity, and conciliation in organizations».
The technical team of CIM's Social Policies Structure, represented by Dr. Cecília Marques, presented the assessment of applications and evaluation criteria. The six winning entities shared their best practices, inspiring other organizations to strengthen their commitment to equality and diversity.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Seals and closing remarks by Júlia Fernandes, Mayor of Vila Verde. CIM Cávado and the municipalities thus reinforce their commitment to promoting equality and non-discrimination, valuing the role of organizations as agents of social change.
