The Mota Futebol Clube's field in Celorico de Basto has been renovated, now offering improved conditions for sports practice.

The intervention focused on the refurbishment of the old changing rooms and the construction of a new multipurpose space. This new structure, built from scratch, includes a circulation area, a space for meetings and lectures, two restrooms adapted for people with reduced mobility, two changing rooms for athletes, and one for the referee team.
The main objective of these works is to improve user safety and comfort conditions. "With the creation of new, spacious, and accessible areas, which will optimize the functionality of the facility and ensure that athletes, technical teams, and the community have the proper conditions for practicing the sport," assures the mayor, José Peixoto Lima.
The President of the Municipal Chamber believes that "the competitiveness and quality of team training depend on their conditions for practicing sports, hence it is pressing that, if we want clubs to be more ambitious and seek results commensurate with their dreams, they must have the best conditions."
This urban improvement project had a total cost of €388,816.27, with support from the European Union through Norte 2030 (Regional Program North) amounting to €276,916.60.
