The materials, resulting from maintenance work, construction, equipment replacement, and other interventions, will be sold to be sent for valorization and reuse, promoting efficient resource management and the circular economy. Available materials include iron, steel, aluminum, copper, and brass, as well as obsolete equipment and machinery.
The base bidding price is 150 euros per ton, with a minimum increment of 10 euros per ton per lot. The procedure will combine a prior submission of sealed bids with a subsequent in-person verbal bidding phase.
The public auction will take place on November 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in the Noble Hall of the Paços do Concelho. Individuals or legal entities meeting the necessary legal requirements for the collection, transport, and valorization of the materials may participate.
Materials will be sold "as is" and in their current location. Procedure documents are available for consultation on the official website of the Municipality of Espinho. Interested parties may request a site visit to view the materials before the auction by contacting the Espinho Municipal Service or emailing geral@cm-espinho.pt.
Proposals and required documents must be submitted in sealed envelopes, according to the conditions defined in the procedure program, and delivered in person at the Municipal Service or sent by registered mail, by the fifth working day following the announcement's publication in the Diário da República.
