The Pateira de Frossos Interpretation Centre (CIPF) in Albergaria-a-Velha is hosting, until December 10th, seven volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps as part of the “In To The Wild 2.0” Project.

The seven young people, aged between 18 and 25, come from Belgium, Italy, France, Germany, and Spain. They are accommodated at the Environmental Volunteering Centre and, over approximately two months, will collaborate on various municipal services and facilities, including the CIPF, Environmental Volunteering Centre, Communication Services, Civil Protection, CROAA, and Municipal Small Routes.
The initiative aims to provide young people with learning, civic participation, and cultural exchange experiences, while simultaneously contributing to the development of activities of interest to the community and the enhancement of the Municipality's natural and environmental heritage.
This afternoon, the volunteers were welcomed at the Municipal Chamber by the Councillor for the Environment and head of the CIPF, Sandra Almeida, and had the opportunity to learn about the History and Culture of the city of Albergaria-a-Velha during a guided tour of the urban centre.
The “In To The Wild 2.0” project is the result of a further collaboration between the Pateira de Frossos Interpretation Centre, the Municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha, Psientífica, the Youth Centre of Águeda, and the Municipality of Águeda.
