The new platform, developed by the IT services of the Municipal Chamber, replaces the previous system and is accessible at padel.cm-ribeiragrande.pt. It features a more intuitive interface, adapted for use on computers, tablets, or mobile phones.
Through a calendar, users can check available slots and make reservations in a few steps. After booking, a verification code is sent via email to confirm the reservation on-site. It is possible to view or cancel reservations up to the start time, automatically freeing up the slot for other users.
Key improvements include information on court unavailability (events or maintenance) directly on the calendar and email notifications for cancellations. The system also enhances account security with stricter password requirements, two-step verification (MFA), and additional protection against unauthorized access. Password recovery is now done via email.
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the platform allows users to view, download, or delete their personal data. A Help page with frequently asked questions is also available.
Current rules for using the municipal padel courts remain in place: 1.5-hour reservations, between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, limited to one per day and four per week, with a maximum advance booking of six days. Users with existing accounts can log in with the same email and password, though they may be prompted to change it if it doesn't meet new security requirements.
