The new life-saving equipment is now available at the Chãs Sports Park, the Town Hall (Paços do Concelho), the Gymnasium Pavilion, the Municipal Swimming Pool, the Campsite, the Secondary School, the Integrated Basic School of Campia, the Vouzela School Group, and the Professional School.
To ensure the proper use of these AEDs and promote a rapid response in emergencies, training sessions in Basic Life Support (BLS) were also conducted.
The Municipality also plans to install another device at the sports facilities of the Grupo Desportivo de Campia, pending the signing of a protocol with that entity.
“"This is a preventive measure that allows us to respond to any emergency situation that may occur. We hope they will never be needed, but in such an eventuality, they are equipment available to the community."
The municipal investment for this acquisition amounted to 24,243.30 euros.
