The Municipality of Sabrosa received, on October 13th, a new tractor donated by the Institute for Nature and Forest Conservation (ICNF), intended to assist in fuel management and rural fire prevention within the municipality.

The allocation of this equipment is part of the Mechanization Program for Fuel Management, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The handover ceremony took place in Vila Pouca de Aguiar and was attended by the President of the Municipal Chamber of Sabrosa, Helena Lapa, and the Vice-President, Martinho Gonçalves, along with other municipal representatives and the Secretary of State for Forests, Rui Ladeira.
The new equipment will be at the service of Sabrosa Civil Protection, supporting fuel management tasks such as the cleaning and maintenance of municipal road network management strips. The aim is to contribute to reducing accumulated fuel material and strengthening the available resources in the municipality for territorial protection and the reduction of rural fire risk.
