Spanning ages from 2 to 52, different generations formed 8 teams for a common mission. Each challenge provided a space for sharing ideas, finding joint solutions, and learning about children's rights and the care needed to keep them safe.
Organized by the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People (CPCJ), with support from the Albufeira Municipal Council, the initiative addressed crucial topics such as preventing dangerous situations and the importance of positive family relationships. The games and tasks were designed to bring these subjects closer to daily family life, in a simple and accessible way for the younger ones.
Time spent with family and mutual support marked this morning. Throughout the course, adults and children collaborated in solving challenges, valuing the contributions of the younger participants and listening to their perspectives.
“"The protection of children begins with daily actions, paying attention to what they feel and say, and being available to accompany them."
The facilitation of these activities involved collaboration from various local entities: the Albufeira Volunteer Firefighters, Civil Protection, the National Republican Guard (GNR), the project Albufeira GerAção (CLDS–5G), coordinated by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira, the Albufeira Scout Group, the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV), and the Student Association of the Albufeira Secondary School. Intermaché de Albufeira, the Parish Council of Albufeira and Olhos de Água, and the Parents' Association also provided their support.
