The event promises a weekend of great spectacle, marked by the Portuguese debut of the FC1 Hypercars, 100% electric vehicles with 1,100 horsepower, and the participation of Spaniard Dani Sordo, a recognized figure in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Montalegre once again asserts itself on the international motorsport scene, hosting a showdown between the main protagonists of the RallyX Europe and RallyX Americas series.
The competition takes place on October 24 and 25, in a double-header format with independent races on Saturday and Sunday. Approximately 55 races are scheduled, including qualifying heats and finals, offering an intense competition program at the Barrosão circuit.
The FC1 Hypercars, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.4 seconds, represent a new technological and competitive dimension for the sport. Dani Sordo, with over two decades of WRC experience, faces a new challenge behind the wheel of one of these vehicles, in a discipline characterized by simultaneous starts and the strategic demands of the Joker Lap.
Among the announced names for the competition are also internationally renowned drivers such as Timmy Hansen, Tanner Foust, and Tommi Hallman, reinforcing the event's quality and media projection.
The 2026 edition also holds an unprecedented moment: on Saturday, October 24, the first night race is scheduled on the Barrosão track, adding a new dimension to the spectacle.
The RallyX Global Final will feature eight categories: FC1 Hypercar, FC2 Supercar, Open 4RM, 4RM AM, 2RM Pro, 2RM FWD, Crosscar, and Crosscar Júnior. Hosting this event reinforces Montalegre's standing as a benchmark destination for motorsport.
