The city of Chaves hosts the latest exhibition of creations by Flaviense visual artist Eurico Borges, titled "Let's Talk with Eurico Borges!". The initiative aims to provide a space for dialogue and sharing around the artist's work, allowing the public to get closer to his creative process.
The exhibition, inaugurated yesterday in the Multipurpose Hall of the Cultural Quarter, will be accessible until October 10th. The artist will be present at the venue between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM to share experiences and insights into his constructive and disruptive work.
Residing in Havana, Cuba, for over a decade, Eurico Borges presents recent creations in Chaves, his hometown, produced in a challenging context for the Cuban people. His work thus takes on a manifesto dimension, reflecting experiences and concerns about the contemporary world.
Eurico Borges, who is also a cultural programmer and radio host, has a career marked by his connection to culture and community, leaving a legacy of work and affection in the places he has been.
During the opening session, the Vice-President of the Chaves Municipal Council, Tiago Caldas, praised Eurico Borges's role in the cultural dynamism of the municipality. Caldas highlighted the artist's contribution to a new vision of local culture, based on creativity and diversity, and emphasized that Chaves's current cultural momentum reflects the inspiring legacy left by Borges.
Tiago Caldas also expressed recognition and gratitude for Eurico Borges's contribution to Flaviense culture and for the example set for new generations.
