The candidacy of the Filigree Competence Center (CCF) – Cindor, in the Culture and Heritage – Craftsmanship category, and the Bem-Me-Quer Project, in the Social Support for the Elderly – Well-being category, were the winning projects. Additionally, the CCF received the +Innovation Award.
The awards were presented during the 3rd Local Summit, held yesterday at the Belém Cultural Center. The Vice-President and Councilor responsible for these areas, Fátima Moreira, represented the Municipality.
The Municipality recognized the value of the Bem-me-Quer Project in its integrated response to the challenges of aging, social isolation, and vulnerability of the elderly population, and the Filigree Competence Center as a strategy for valuing and safeguarding living heritage.
The Bem-me-Quer Project is based on the concept of Smart Aging, featuring a multidisciplinary team and a teleassistance system for personalized home care, risk prevention, and promotion of autonomy, safety, health, and community participation, combating loneliness and delaying institutionalization.
The Filigree Competence Center balances the preservation of traditional know-how with professional qualification, support for workshops and companies, innovation, and heritage education. It aims to address specific sector challenges such as generational renewal, shortage of skilled labor, and the transmission of knowledge from master artisans, creating training and employment opportunities.
The Center's intervention also extends to the community through workshops, guided tours, and live demonstrations, involving various institutions and reinforcing the sense of belonging to this heritage.
The Local Summit is a national event for municipal discussion that addressed topics such as housing, the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), climate, and Artificial Intelligence.
