The Boticas and Granja Parish Council was filled with the public last Saturday, October 10th, for the premiere of the play "Right You Are (If You Think So)", by Luigi Pirandello.

The production, directed by André Graça Gomes and performed by the Fórum Boticas Theater Group, attracted around two hundred spectators, completely filling the venue and demonstrating the region's cultural dynamism.
The session, with free admission, was attended by the Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Boticas, Paulo Miguel Pereira, and members of the Parish Council executive, who congratulated the group for their work.
The play addresses a small town's curiosity about the incomprehensible behavior of a lady and her son-in-law, turning the search for truth into a collective debate. The work explores the relativity of truth and the futility of grasping reality, presenting itself as a philosophical farce with disconcerting humor.
With a language that combines the colloquial and the philosophical, and humorous resources to the grotesque, "Right You Are (If You Think So)" is a parable about the limits of truth, appearance, discrimination, and respect for others' lives.
The play will move to Chaves next Saturday, October 17th, at 9:30 PM, with a new performance at the Teatro Experimental Flaviense (TEF).
