Students from the Sabadim and Távora Kindergartens visited the Melgaço Meadows on October 20th and 21st, in an initiative aimed at promoting healthy eating habits.

Within the framework of the School Fruit and Milk Scheme, co-financed by IFAP, the Municipal Chamber, in partnership with the School Health Team, organized the visit of students from the Kindergartens of Sabadim and Távora to the Melgaço Meadows.
The initiative provided the children with an educational and fun experience, allowing them to see the goats up close, observe the milking process, and watch a film about goat cheese production. The visit concluded with a tasting of goat cheese, giving the children the opportunity to discover and appreciate this product while learning more about its origin and production process.
This activity, developed in coordination with the School Health Team, aims to promote healthy eating habits from childhood, raising awareness among the little ones about the importance of a balanced diet and the value of local products.
In the third school term, students from the kindergartens of Paçô, Vila Fonche, Giela, and Soajo will have the opportunity to experience this.
