The Municipality of Ponte de Lima will host, for the first time, IncubX, an initiative aimed at incubators and accelerators from the National Network of Incubators, on October 8th and 9th, at the Hotel Vila Galé Collection Ponte de Lima Vineyards. The event is a program by Startup Portugal, a non-profit public utility entity that collaborates with the Ministry of Economy on public entrepreneurship policies.
The meeting aims to bring together 80 entities to identify the main challenges for incubators, prioritize areas for joint action, and build a practical cooperation agenda for the period 2027 to 2030. The central question is to define what needs to be changed collectively so that incubators better meet the needs of territories, startups, and entrepreneurs.
The first day, October 8th, begins with the session "The Challenge: Incubating in the Real World", focusing on the reality of incubation in Portugal and defining priorities. An analysis of the first three years of the National Network of Incubators will also be presented, covering its evolution, key trends, and growth as one of Europe's largest incubation networks.
Following the presentations, participants will be challenged in the matchmaking session "Skip the Talk, Work Together". The goal is to work collaboratively on developing projects and solutions for the identified challenges, transforming common needs into partnerships and shared ideas. The results will be presented in a three-minute pitch session per group, followed by discussion.
The program concludes with the conversation "Local Innovation, Global Ambition", focusing on the entrepreneurial dynamics of Ponte de Lima and how local projects can connect with the business ecosystem and create innovation opportunities on a national scale.
