The Municipal Youth Council (CMJ) of Ponte da Barca met on October 20th at the Paços do Concelho, in a session chaired by Councillor José Silva. The meeting aimed to evaluate initiatives developed in 2026 and prepare projects for 2027.
The meeting featured a positive assessment of Barca Jovem 2026, highlighting new features such as the Peddy Paper, Traditional Games, and the new concert format.
The 2026 Youth Participatory Budget was also analyzed, with the presentation of the report for the winning project, "Cinema no Carro – Vila Chã Santiago", by Filipe Antunes, whose implementation met initial expectations.
For 2027, the chosen theme is 'Sport, Leisure and Free Time', intended to encourage young people in the municipality to submit ideas and develop their own projects that align with their interests.
The Municipality of Ponte da Barca continues to invest in its youth, valuing their ideas and creating opportunities for them to play an active role in the municipality's development.
