Viana do Castelo joins Pink October with prevention initiatives

The Municipal Chamber of Viana do Castelo marks Pink October with a program of activities dedicated to breast cancer prevention and awareness, promoting physical exercise and solidarity.

Throughout the month of October, the Municipality invites the community to participate in a series of activities that promote physical activity, social gathering, and unity around a cause that concerns everyone.

On October 17, starting at 10:00 AM, a Family Walk will be held, with the starting point at the parking lot near Praia do Cabedelo.
On October 24, Saturday, at 10:00 AM, a Dance Class will take place at the Pavilhão da Escola da Abelheira, in partnership with the JaDança Academy.
On Sunday, October 25, the Solidarity Walk and Family Playday will take place, starting at 10:00 AM, at Jardim da Marina.
On October 28, the AC Walk AC Run will be held at 8:00 PM, in Praça da Liberdade, organized by the Associação Alexandra Carvalho.
The program concludes on October 31, with a Mega Aqua Aerobics Class, pending confirmation.
All activities are part of Pink October 2026 and have a solidarity purpose, with proceeds benefiting the Portuguese League Against Cancer.
