The Municipality of Caminha has started the repair and improvement project for public lighting on Rua de Santo António, in the Union of Freguesias of Caminha and Vilarelho, aiming to enhance safety and quality of life.

The intervention includes the replacement of 25 luminaires and the relocation of their poles next to the wall, which will free up the roadway and increase safety for drivers and pedestrians.
As part of this project, luminaires inside the Túnel das Muralhas de Caminha will also be replaced, and the lighting of the Estátua do Pescador will be repaired, enhancing these emblematic sites of the town.
Following a request from the Union of Freguesias of Caminha and Vilarelho, the decorative lighting of the Miradouro da Boavista will also be upgraded, boosting the attractiveness of the location.
This work reflects the Municipality of Caminha's commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure, promoting a safer and more functional municipality.
