Under the management of the Fera Family, the restaurant “A Taska” in Moita celebrates its 20th anniversary in December 2026. Founded by Filipe Fera, the establishment is now run by his sons, André and Miguel Fera, who ensure the management of the house, maintaining quality and proximity to its clientele. For two decades, the restaurant has been animating the gastronomic life of the town, adapting to the demands and evolution of the times.
Over these 20 years, the menu and work methods have undergone changes, but the fundamental premise of “A Taska” remains unaltered: a firm commitment to the quality of ingredients. The cuisine is typically Portuguese, with highlights including grilled fish, Setúbal-style fried cuttlefish, octopus lagareiro, monkfish stew, octopus rice, and cod à brás. In the summer, grilled sardines are the star. The outdoor space was renovated about a year ago, increasing capacity and comfort with air conditioning.
More than just a place to eat, “A Taska” has become a meeting point across generations, with a loyal clientele who travel many kilometers to visit the restaurant. André Fera confesses the strong emotional connection with visitors, including "friends who come from all over the country, from Porto" and from abroad. The 20th-anniversary celebration brings a sense of affirmation, pride, and overcoming challenges, in a sector with a high failure rate. The philosophy for the future, in a challenging economic context, is to always do the best, with the highest quality, every day.
