The Official Center for Stray Animals (CROAE) of Moita, in partnership with the Moita Municipal Council, marked Animal Day on October 4th with a program of activities that attracted dozens of participants and their animals.

Animal Day, celebrated on October 4th, was marked in Moita with an event organized by the Official Center for Stray Animals (CROAE) in collaboration with the Moita Municipal Council. The date aims to celebrate the loyalty and friendship that animals provide.
The President of the Moita Municipal Council, Carlos Albino, and Councilor Anabela Rosa visited the CROAE facilities to highlight the importance of the celebration. The center opened its doors to the public until 4:00 PM, allowing visitors to see the facilities and the animals.
During the afternoon, a creative toy-making workshop for cats, aimed at children, and a workshop titled "I adopted a dog, now what?", led by trainer Ana Eloy, took place.
The highlight of the day was the Cãominhada (dog walk), which began at 5:00 PM and exceeded expectations with over 50 participants and 33 animals. Of these, 27 were residents of the CROAE, who had the opportunity to leave the facilities for a walk.
The Municipality of Moita and the CROAE reaffirmed their commitment to animal welfare and responsible adoption, thanking the community's participation in the success of the initiative.
