The meeting aimed to share experiences and reflect on the new challenges facing consumers and local communities. CIMAL stood out for its active participation, with its involvement being publicly praised by the DECO coordination.
The DECO Coordinator highlighted the relevance of CIMAL's participation, stating that it contributed to "enhancing the territorial and intermunicipal dimension of this work and reinforcing the importance of institutional cooperation in promoting and defending consumer rights".
In a context of profound transformations, particularly in housing, service digitalization, and access to essential goods and services, the meeting reinforced the need for intermunicipal communities and municipalities to lead responses that promote citizen information, empowerment, and protection. The partnership between CIMAL and DECO aims to strengthen work in the Alentejo Litoral, sharing resources and knowledge to address common issues.
In addition to work sessions, participants visited the Ethnographic Museum - Casa Frayões Metellos, a cultural moment that allowed them to learn about the identity and traditions of Grândola.
With the conclusion of this meeting, CIMAL and DECO reaffirm their shared commitment to deepening their close relationship, seeking new opportunities for joint work that translate into concrete benefits for the populations and build lasting collaborative paths based on trust, commitment, and the creation of more informed communities aware of their rights.
