The Municipal Council has been investing in the requalification and expansion of educational establishments. In the last year, works were completed at the Escola dos Sininhos, the creation of the first municipal public daycare center in Estela, the University Residence in the former Escola do Boído, and the Children's Park at EB1/JI da Aldeia, in Aguçadoura. Works are underway at EB1 de Refojos, the Daycare and Kindergarten at the former Escola N.ª Sr.ª da Saúde, the Daycare and Kindergarten of Balasar, EB1 de Cadilhe, and the reformulation of the Escola de Agro Velho. Future steps include new pavilions at the Cego do Maio and Rates schools, the awarding of the padel court at EB Dr. Flávio Gonçalves, and the ongoing review of the Escola Campo Aberto project.
