The new Pavia Ecocenter began operations on November 6th, strengthening selective collection in the parish and allowing for the disposal of larger waste items.

The Pavia Ecocenter is now operational as of today, November 6th, the date on which the equipment was handed over for management to the Junta de Freguesia of Pavia. This new facility aims to enhance selective collection in the parish and address the need for a space to deposit larger waste items, such as bulky waste, wood, and green waste.
Residents can request the collection of bulky waste from their homes or, alternatively, deliver it directly to the Pavia Ecocenter. In both situations, it is necessary to contact the Junta de Freguesia beforehand by calling 266 450 059.
With a municipal investment of €35,748.75, plus VAT, the facility will allow for the reception of waste that, due to its characteristics or dimensions, requires specific collection, ensuring its routing for valorization and recycling.
The Ecocenter complements the existing selective collection network and contributes to combating improper waste disposal, improving environmental conditions and the quality of public space in the town of Pavia.
