The educational community of Escola dos Sininhos celebrated the reopening of the educational facility, which involved a municipal investment of approximately 2 million euros. The Mayor, Andrea Silva, highlighted her satisfaction in seeing the school once again serving the families of Póvoa, equipped with all the conditions for the development advocated by the Municipality.
The ground floor now houses bathrooms and a multipurpose refectory, also used for sports activities. On the first floor, there are support rooms for teachers, a library, an art room, and additional sanitary facilities.
A protective cover has been created in the playground to allow children to stay outdoors on rainy or excessively hot days. The outdoor space has also been revitalized with new sports and play equipment. The six classrooms in the old building have undergone thermal and acoustic improvements, as well as painting and finishing enhancements.
