The commemorations of the 190th anniversary of the municipality of Paços de Ferreira kick off on November 6, the date marking its creation. The inaugural program includes the presentation of the exhibition “Paços de Ferreira: 190 Years of Municipality in a Millennial Territory”, the traditional Flag Raising, and the Solemn Session commemorating the event. The celebrations also extend to the 25th Anniversary of the Municipal Museum - Furniture Museum and the inauguration of the exhibition “Faz História” by Mestre António Bessa.
On November 7, the initiatives continue with the Rally-Paper “Dia do Concelho” (Municipality Day), which will tour the territory's parishes, and with the Commemorative Concert by the Banda Musical de Paços de Ferreira, to be held at the Parque de Exposições (Exhibition Park).
The closing of the commemorations is scheduled for November 8, with the family activity “O grão de milho - entre a tradição e a nossa terra” (The grain of corn - between tradition and our land), aimed at children aged 4 to 10, and with the ceremony of Awarding of Prizes for the Photography Contest “Our Municipality through your lens”.
Throughout these four days, Paços de Ferreira invites the entire community to participate in the celebrations of a date that honors the past, values the present, and projects the future of the municipality.
