The Parish Council of Ermesinde announced today, November 3, 2026, that all its services will operate normally, maintaining public service during usual hours, following the suspension of the national protest action.

The decision to suspend the national protest, scheduled for tomorrow, November 4, comes after advancements made by the National Association of Parishes (ANAFRE) in negotiations concerning the State Budget for 2027.
Within the scope of negotiations held at the Assembly of the Republic, several important points for the parishes have been secured. These include the reinforcement of the Parish Funding Fund (FFF), ensuring increased funding for all parishes in 2027, with an additional approximately 50 million euros. Recognition of the Parishes' Right of First Refusal in Property Acquisition, on par with Municipalities, and access to medium-term credit for housing projects, pending technical definition, have also been achieved.
The reinforcement of funding associated with the Administrative Reform of Lisbon remains under negotiation. The Parish Council of Ermesinde congratulates ANAFRE on the progress made, highlighting the importance of the mobilization and unity of the Parishes in defending Democratic Local Power and the autonomy of local authorities.
