Ana Raquel Azevedo sought to directly convey to the oversight bodies the concerns identified on the ground, aiming to improve the operational conditions of civil protection agents and the response capacity to the populations.
In this context, the mayor also expressed the Municipality's intention to proceed with the signing of a protocol with the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) regarding the second Permanent Intervention Team (EIP). This team is already constituted and operational through an agreement between the Baião Municipal Council and the local fire departments, and the aim is now to also ensure its protocol framework with ANEPC.
The meeting is part of the institutional contacts that the Mayor of Baião has been developing with various government departments, seeking to present the council's priorities, challenges, and needs directly to the responsible officials.
