The Roasted Lamb and Baked Rice Festival in Baião is moving from July to October 23rd, 24th, and 25th, aiming for improved conditions for visitors and exhibitors.

The festival, celebrating local gastronomy, has been postponed from July to October to provide better comfort and visibility. This change aims to enhance the event's standing as a gastronomic and cultural reference for Baião.
For three days, roasted lamb, baked rice, and Avesso wine will be highlighted. The program includes showcookings, musical entertainment, the presentation of a scientific study and a book on the signature dish, as well as a new initiative dedicated to 'desgarradas' (traditional folk singing).
The festival kicks off on Friday, October 23rd, at 7:00 PM with the opening of the venue and a performance by Andarilhos. On Saturday, October 24th, the venue opens at 10:00 AM, featuring the XX Chapter of Entronization of the Confraria do Anho Assado. The day includes showcookings, one aimed at children, and a performance by Jorge Guerreiro in the evening.
On Sunday, October 25th, the festival opens at 10:00 AM with the presentation of the scientific study and book «Anho Assado com Arroz de Forno: Afectos, História, tradição». A showcooking by Bazulaque will also take place, followed by the Domingo de Desgarradas from 3:00 PM, featuring concertinas and special guests like Daniel Antunes and Soraia Araújo.
Local groups will provide entertainment throughout the three days. The closing of the 20th edition is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Sunday. The full program can be found at https://baiaocomsabor.cm-baiao.pt.
