This boost adds to the over 458 thousand euros already allocated previously, bringing the total municipal support to these institutions to approximately 843 thousand euros. The supported investments aim at the construction and expansion of nurseries, residential structures for the elderly, day centres, and home support services, with the goal of improving facilities and extending services to meet the needs of Amarante's families.
The extraordinary support is allocated to Associação PROGREDIR, Bem Estar – Associação de Solidariedade Social de Gondar, Centro Social Vale Santa Natália, CERCIMARANTE, and Centro Social de Jazente. This additional funding aims to help institutions cope with the increased costs of works and necessary adaptations during project execution, supported by the PARES programs and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The distribution of funds was coordinated with the institutions, reflecting the effort they have been making in constructing, expanding, and improving their social facilities. With this reinforcement, the Municipality of Amarante continues its investment in the municipality's social network, contributing to better conditions for reception, care, and support, from childhood to old age.
