The event, which started at Largo de Nossa Senhora da Orada, was one of 50 hikes promoted across the Alentejo region during the weekend, under the initiative “Todo o Alentejo a Caminhar” (All of Alentejo Walking).
In addition to the physical activity, the program included a free visit to the Museu dos Cristos and a stop at five totems of the Sousel Municipality's Literary Tourism Route, located in the Parish of Sousel. This project was developed in partnership with the Associação Era Uma Voz, featuring readings and presentations of literary excerpts.
The initiative was promoted by the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo, with the support of the Municipality of Sousel, combining physical activity with the enhancement of the municipality's cultural and tourist heritage.
