The Congress Center of the Portalegre Municipal Council hosted, on October 22nd, the simultaneous commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty and Social Exclusion and the Municipal Day on Equality, under the theme “A Place for All People”.

The ceremony featured speeches by Fermelinda Pombo Carvalho, President of the Portalegre Municipal Council, Luís Miguel Cardoso, representing the European Anti-Poverty Network – Portalegre District Hub, and Eunice Trindade Henriques, Director of the Regional Center of Portalegre of Social Security.
The event included a musical interlude with a performance by the Tuna da Academia Sta. Clara.
To conclude the day of reflection, a visit was made to the exhibition displayed in the Municipality's atrium, featuring works created by institutions from the council that are part of the Council's Social Network.
