In Funchal, the book Trilogy of Death, authored by Filipe Gouveia, was presented in the Foyer of the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias. The work, a municipal edition, compiles the three dramatic texts that make up the theatrical project developed between 2022 and 2026: Livrai-nos da Peste!, Livrai-nos da Guerra!, and Livrai-nos da Fome!.
The Trilogy of Death is inspired by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse – Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. The texts were written by Filipe Gouveia and premiered at the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias in Funchal by the theatre company AGON.
Currently, the play Livrai-nos da Fome! is being staged at the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias. This work uses comic and absurd sketches to draw social parallels between the period before April 25, 1974, and the present day, associating each scene with elements of traditional Madeiran cuisine.
